Tayfun Akçay was born and raised in Berlin and has Turkish and Azerbaijani roots. He gained his first stage experience at a young age with Stage Entertainment, performing the leading role of Young Simba in the musical The Lion King. This early experience in both acting and ensemble work sparked his passion for performance and the dynamic interaction between actors on stage. From 2013 to 2020, Tayfun was a permanent ensemble member of the German-Turkish theatre company Tiyatrom in Berlin, where he regularly performed in both comedic and dramatic productions. His versatility allows him to combine emotional depth with natural presence and a strong sense of humor. Alongside acting, sports and movement have always played a significant role in his life. Volleyball, football, athletic training, and fitness are as much a part of his routine as dance, ranging from salsa and hip-hop to traditional Azerbaijani folk dances. Tayfun is highly athletic, physically expressive, and brings natural energy, strong stage presence, and dynamic movement qualities to his performances.
